Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
to provide expert knowledge and operational insights in support of training on Joint Interoperability and Data Links. The SME will play a crucial role in ensuring that training materials and operational support align with the latest technologies and practices in Tactical Data Links (TDLs), Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) operations, military communications, and joint operations.We are seeking experts in one or more of the following areas:Tactical Data Links (TDLs) : Expertise in multi-TDL operations, including Link 16, Link 11, and other data link systems.Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) Operations : In-depth knowledge of JICO responsibilities, planning, and management of multi-TDL networks.Military Communications Systems : Experience with systems like JTIDS, MIDS, PRC radios, and communications security (COMSEC) procedures.Joint and Coalition Operations : Expertise in joint/coalition military coordination, command and control (C2), and operational planning.Network Management and Cybersecurity : Understanding of military network design, management, and security protocols related to TDL systems.ResponsibilitiesProvide subject matter expertise in one or more areas of Tactical Data Links (TDLs), Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) operations, military communications systems, or joint/coalition operations.Collaborate with Instructional Designers and Adult Education Specialists to ensure technical accuracy and operational relevance of training materials.Serve as a resource for Instructors, offering operational insights and real-world examples to enhance the delivery of training.Support the development of training exercises that reflect real-world scenarios, including live, virtual, and simulated environments.Ensure training content reflects current operational requirements, emerging technologies, and best practices in the field.Provide guidance on the operation, integration, and security of military communication and data link systems.Assist in evaluating and improving training programs to maintain high-quality, relevant instruction.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Information Technology, Communications, Military Studies).Military Instructor experience.15 years of experience in joint military operations, Tactical Data Links (TDLs), Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) operations, military communications systems, or network management.Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.Expertise in at least one of the following areas: TDL systems (Link 16, Link 11, etc.), JICO operations, military communications systems, joint/coalition operations, or network management.Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with training development teams and Instructors.Experience supporting military exercises and training environments, providing real-world insights and operational expertise.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Tactical Data Links (TDLs), JICO systems, or military communication systems such as JTIDS and MIDS.Familiarity with tools like the JICO Simulator, JRE, ADSI, or other joint interface systems.Advanced degree in a related field or equivalent military experience.Company OverviewOps Tech Alliance (OTA) was founded by former National Security and Special Operations professionals with over 100 years of combined experience, and was formed with a singular focus: to bridge the gap between operations and technology to enable mission success.
