Well then, we’d love to meet you! Denver Beer Co is looking for an experienced, self-motivated, highly organized Senior Accountant with a “get it done” attitude. Our finance team is essential to our company culture and the growth of our business, success in this role requires great inter and intra departmental communication.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with concentration in Accounting or Finance

Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting and financial experience

Prior experience in the hospitality and/or food and beverage industry

Prior experience in a supervisory role a PLUS!

Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency required), Google Suite and Adobe

Full accounting cycle experience including preparation of financials statements

Prior experience with Sales & Use Tax

Able to clearly communicate on a professional level while fostering personal relationships with your co-workers

Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail

Strong ability to quickly adapt and multitask

Ability to communicate financial information effectively

Approachable and exudes a willingness to help the team

Ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently and effectively

Willingness to accept new challenges in a changing business environment

WHAT YOU’LL DO?

Accounting :

Maintain financial reports and records

Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Prepare journal entries including accruals

Record cash receipts matching against customer invoices

Research variances and provide explanations

Assist CFO with the preparation of financial statements for month-end close including preparation of GAAP financial statements

Monitor a shared AP mailbox, reconcile vendor statements and resolve any related discrepancies

Prepare and mail annual 1099 filings

Code all company and personal credit card expenses

Maintain purchasing and invoicing systems and assist with AP, payroll, billing and collections as needed

Compare purchases orders, prices, and other charges against invoices

Invoice customers, apply payments, email invoices

Oversight and approval of payroll processes

Perform fixed asset related entries including depreciation, retirements and disposals

Assist CFO with preparation of quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and additional financial reporting as needed

Prepare complete and accurate reports, analyses and insights needed for decision making for business leaders

Implement process changes/efficiencies and financial controls as needed

Taxes & Reporting :

Calculate and submit State and City Sales & Use taxes

Ensure Sales & Use Tax compliance with state and local laws and regulations

Prepare other various monthly state reports

Team :

Mentor and support members of the Finance Team
