Role DescriptionAs a Commercial Finance Manager in the manufacturing industry, specifically within the F&B sector, you will play a crucial role in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and managing the monthly forecast of P&L. Your responsibilities will include in-depth analysis of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer preferences. This individual will lead the pricing process, monitor margin performance, and proactively identify and address gaps or opportunities to expand profitability. The Commercial Finance Manager will collaborate closely with business development, procurement, and operations teams to provide credible financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

Lead the financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Prepare monthly forecasts of P&L, providing detailed variance analysis and actionable insights.Initiate and manage regular pricing processes that address commodity and other input fluctuations, ensuring margin performance aligns with targets.Maintain and validate the pricing/cost conditions database to reflect accurate price setting and periodic updates.Collaboration with Procurement:Develop close relationships with procurement to establish booking of ingredients for back-to-back contracts (time & volume-bound).Product & Customer Analysis:Conduct scheduled analysis of product portfolio mix, customer profitability, and contracting activity to identify gaps and initiate actions to protect or improve group profitability.Stakeholder Alignment:Collaborate with North American and HQ pricing colleagues to share insights and align pricing strategies, especially for international customers sourcing from multiple sites.Operations Interaction:Regularly interact with operations to understand plant capabilities, production capacities, and constraints, leveraging this knowledge to identify products that maximize revenue and margin per kg.Quotation Management:Assess incoming price requests and issue quotations in line with group turnaround targets, pricing guidelines, and profit parameters.Monitor sales contract status against volume/term commitments and systematically report progress and potential issues to stakeholders.Define price setting for new product launches in collaboration with product managers.Commercial Support:Actively support the business development team in commercial negotiations and maintain direct, regular contact with customers to provide relevant market information and discuss/defend price evolution.Qualifications:

Education & Certification:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.CPA designation is highly desirable.Experience:

Proven experience in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting within the manufacturing industry.Experience in the F&B industry is a significant asset.Skills:

Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to efficiently interpret large amounts of data and make strategic recommendations.Excellent commercial skills with proven negotiation and relationship-building capabilities.Strong digital orientation with super-user capabilities in the MS Office suite.SAP experience is preferred.Attributes:
