Career Opportunity:

Silgan Dispensing Systems is searching for a Vice President, Finance to be a hands-on leader of our global finance and accounting teams. This is an exciting opportunity to become a strong member of a dynamic corporate Leadership Team. We are looking for a proactive person who will play a key role in leading the finance team to contribute to delivering superior financial returns and in establishing SDS as the preferred partner to our customers. This position works within the leadership team to set the direction for the business.

The position is based at our global headquarters in Richmond, VA.

Your scope of responsibility and how you will impact Silgan Dispensing Systems:

Lead in-depth financial analysis of all aspects of the business to set the overall improvement agenda. Work in concert with business leadership to drive operational focus and improvement.

Manage all Audit and Controlling processes: Internal/Substantive/Statutory Audit compliance, SOX compliance, Internal Controls, Accounting Policies and Procedures.

Strategic Business Support: Strategy development, M&A, Commercial strategy and margin optimization, Capital, Operations, Footprint analysis, Costing, Competitor Analysis, Free Cash Flow planning and administration.

Finance Administration: Insurance, Tax, Treasury, A/R and A/P, Intercompany loans, Cash Management, Credit, Collections, Royalties, Transfer pricing; Working Capital Management.

Monthly Closing: Manage closing process, Monthly Performance Review meetings, Plant Financial Reviews.

FP&A: Budgeting, Forecasting, Reporting and Analysis, SG&A, Host Analytics, Bridges, Board of Directors meeting preparation, operational and commercial productivity analysis.

SDS Divisional Information Technology: Enable SDS business processes - provide guidance and support as IT partners with the business on topics such as data management, application development, ERP and system integration, and reporting.

Team Development: Coach, Mentor Finance Team + Performance Management.

What You Need to Succeed:

Rigorous analytical orientation with strong business partnering mentality.

Ability to analyze, interpret numbers, and extract meaningful insights from data to explain complex financial topics to non-finance employees and navigate decisions with Leadership Team.

Continuous improvement mindset: Objectivity and the leadership courage to drive change.

MBA preferred; CPA or CMA designation a plus.

Experience in public accounting, plant controller or divisional/corporate controller.

Complete fluency in all financial domains including: accounting, FP&A, internal controls, audit, treasury, risk management, budgets and forecasting.

Track record of developing, leading and motivating large, multi-national teams.

Knowledge of international/global accounting and finance practices.

Understanding and experience leading Acquisitions and business integration.

Deep understanding of manufacturing operations and product costing methodologies.
