The team of mental health professionals offers a range of psychiatric and behavioral health services utilizing the most up-to-date research in the field and state-of-the-art technology.Position Description [Purpose, Scope, and Duties]The USC Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking licensed clinical psychologists and social workers to provide outpatient evidence-based psychotherapy treatments and mental health services. Clinicians will perform psychosocial evaluations and diagnostic assessments, provide short-term evidence-based psychotherapies and psycho-educational interventions, and work with multidisciplinary teams in treatment planning to provide high-quality care. Successful applicants will provide mental health services to a wide variety of individuals including those with co-morbid medical illness, behavioral health concerns, and/or psychiatric conditions.This is a full-time clinical faculty position with an academic appointment in the Department of Psychiatry and the Behavioral Sciences at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and a clinical service assignment in PBHS at HSC. Salary is competitive, and contingent on experience. A generous benefits package includes: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term care, disability, malpractice coverage, retirement benefits, tuition assistance, paid professional days, parental leave, access to free continuing education credits, and generous paid time off.Essential FunctionsReports to clinic/division leadershipConducts initial diagnostic evaluations and biopsychosocial assessments, develops treatment plans, and provides short-term evidence-based psychological interventionsProvides individual and group therapy, as indicatedEvaluates crisis situations and intervenes appropriatelyCompletes timely documentation and billing in accordance with clinic policiesMaintains appropriate clinical records and complies with all relevant regulatory policies and proceduresParticipates in clinical outcome evaluationCollaborates and consults with other mental health and medical providersParticipates in multidisciplinary case conferences and clinic meetingsAttends and contributes to department and division meetingsParticipates in yearly peer review and quality improvement activitiesSchedules reflect a hybrid of telemedicine and in-person clinic.
