Become a part of our caring community and help us put health firstThe Senior Business Intelligence Engineer solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers to support Medicaid HEDIS reporting and quality initiatives. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer position requires advanced technical skills in data management, analysis, and visualization, as well as a deep understanding of HEDIS measures, NCQA and Medicaid programs.The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer develops, implements, and maintains robust data extraction, transformation and loading process to support HEDIS reporting requirements.Create and manage complex SQL queries and scripts to extract and manipulate data from various sources.Integrate data from multiple sources including claims, clinical and provider data, ensuring data integrity and consistency.Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to present HEDIS metrics and trends.Provide actionable insights on quality improvement initiatives.Lead and mentor junior BI engineers and analysts, providing guidance on best practices and technical solutions.Collaborate with cross functional teams, including IT, Quality and Market teams to align on data initiatives.Use your skills to make an impactRequired Qualifications:Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizationsExperience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic directionProficiency in understanding Healthcare related dataProficiency in HEDIS measures, Medicaid programs and healthcare quality improvementComprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Power BIProficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadershipPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of technical experience in data analysis OR Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience with a focus on healthcare and HEDIS reportingProven experience with SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousingProficiency in SQL, Python, or other programming languagesProficiency in database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modelingProven experience with tools such as Microsoft Power BI for creating data visualizationsExperience creating advanced visualization and analytical solutions for various healthcare sectorsDemonstrated leadership and project management skillsScheduled Weekly Hours40Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $78,800 - $108,500 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
