Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Finance & Controller and Manager of Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst II will support and manage a variety of financial analytics and accounting related duties specific for the healthcare field. Duties include but are not limited to: Completing month end procedures (journal entries, reconciliations, etc.), preparing and reviewing financial reporting and analysis, assisting with audit procedures and budget processes, providing direction, technical assistance, and an initial level of review to less experienced team members, and completing various ad-hoc requests.

The incumbent will be expected to assist management in performing research on NAIC, DOI, US GAAP, SAP, and AICPA reporting requirements, including interpretation of such materials to comply with regulatory reporting requirements. Specifically, they will:

Evaluate new transactions and products to determine how they should be treated under statutory accounting principles.

Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and disclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory accounting policies.

Manage statutory audits and coordinate the audit schedule.

Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and state and local reporting requirements.

The Senior Financial Analyst II will also collaborate with and leverage internal and external resources, inclusive of other junior staff and relevant contractors/vendors, to effectively discharge their duties and provide timely and relevant decision-making materials and recommendations to senior management. The candidate is expected to work closely with other members of the finance team as well as other business units and external constituents.

Qualifications & Requirements:

BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, CMA, or similar required.

Minimum 10 years of relevant, progressive experience in accounting, finance, or similar background.

Experience with business, budgeting, and accounting principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Statement of Statutory Accounting Principles (SSAP), AICPA standards, and/or other Federal and State process and regulations relevant for the insurance payor field.

Working knowledge of financial modeling, financial analysis principles, methodology, practices, and procedures.

Ability to translate complex financial data and analysis into reports and presentations along with demonstrated ability to effectively interact with a diverse and broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Extensive experience with MS Excel, use of data analysis functions, ability to create standard and ad hoc reports, presentations, charts, and graphs. SQL, Power-Bi, or other analytics tool experience strongly preferred.

Strong project management and plan execution skills with the ability to respond to multiple competing priorities.

Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Salary:

Starting from $81,000.00 to $122,000.00 a year
