About the Unit:

This Med/Surg Telemetry unit specializes in oncology and hospice, including cutting-edge stem cell transplants. The patient population is emotionally heavy, as most patients are receiving end-of-life care. Nurses on this 35-bed unit work with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 on PM/day shifts, and 1:5-6 at night. The team includes Clinical Coordinators, PCTs, unit secretaries, and SSTs to provide comprehensive support.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver compassionate nursing care to a diverse patient population.Utilize the nursing process for patient care planning, implementation, and evaluation.Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and uphold accountability for patient outcomes.Supervise and guide unlicensed nursing personnel.Contribute to a safe, high-quality patient experience, especially within the oncology and hospice care areas.

Must-Have Qualifications:

Experience:

New grads welcome, contingent offers provided if you haven't received your license yet. Strong critical thinking and a good attitude are highly valued.Certification:

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) required prior to starting.Education:

Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Telemetry, Oncology, or Hospice care.Certifications: ONS Chemo certification, ACLS.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
