Radiology Technicians are responsible for performing all appropriate procedures in the computer as needed i.e. scheduling exams, completing exams by computer terminal, and proper charging of supplies, etc.Essential Job DutiesThorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomyAbility to perform general & vascular exams (arterial, carotids, etc.)Ability to follow physician's ordersAbility to pull related exams for doctor viewingMust be able to perform sonography studies in an operating room settingPerforms "Time Out" on all procedures, ensures universal protocols are completed on all patients by utilizing "two identifiers" per TJC NPSG standardVerbalizes and demonstrates, in clinical practice, HIPAA compliance and all safety practices as supported by organizational policy and procedureQualificationsMinimum two years of experience as a sonographer at an acute care facility preferred.Diploma from a certified school of ultrasound or equivalent preferredARDMS requiredRVT (registered vascular technologist) strongly preferredCurrent BLS (AHA) certification requiredThis opportunity offers the following:Challenging and rewarding work environmentGrowth and development opportunities within UHS and its subsidiariesCompetitive compensationAbout Universal Health ServicesOne of the nation's largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services, Universal Health Services, Inc.
