Position Summary

The Geoscience Analyst will assist Geologists and Engineers across both Asset Management and Chord's Non-Operated business. The candidate will need to show attention to detail in their work, be a problem-solver, possess an interest in geology, and have an eye for aesthetic detail. This analyst will also have a strong role in managing the Kingdom database, project creation and data uploads. This position will report to the Asset Management Geoscience leader and is located in downtown Houston, TX. A hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with background and experience.Essential Job Functions

Leverage data types and sources that include internally generated data, state databases, industry data providers (Enverus, TGS, and S&P Global (formerly IHS)), and partner or other operator supplied information.Analyze data and ensure quality control.Create and manage geological database builds in Kingdom Geology for existing and new projects (Data will include well logs, core data, production data, well header data, land grids, etc.).Assist in data capture, manipulation, and interpretation of subsurface data types:

Raster log data, digital log data, core data, cross-sections, and 2-D & 3-D seismic data.Gather, maintain, and digitize raster log data.Find, digitize and load data such as XRD and Geochem/Rock-Eval data from NDIC or other sources.Import/Export geologic and engineering parameter data for geologists and engineers.Well header and production data.

Take direction from the greater geoscience group, interface with techs or analysts from other disciplines, and manage their individual project workflows to incorporate project priorities of several other individuals.Champion well log curve mnemonic/aliasing in new projects.Support map generation efforts including gridding of well performance data, geologic attributes, and grid to grid calculations.Georeference and digitize geological maps/elements.Track and manage NDIC data submission.Competitor Activity Tracking - Williston Basin:

Update all acreage shapefiles for all key operators in basin.Generate and maintain well zone data - e.g. EURs, completions stats, other production parameters.

Bachelor of Arts or Science in Geology, Earth Science, or analytical curriculum.5 years of geo-tech or geo-analyst experience.Skilled user of IHS Kingdom or Petra.Experience in building and managing databases.Proficient MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.Well data management experience.Regulatory data gathering experience (permits, frac data, core data, etc.).Ability to complete projects with moderate to minimal supervision.Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company.Ability to meet deadlines.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Experience with Enverus and S&P Global Direct Connect (formerly IHS).Experience in computer gridding/mapping.Experience in entry-level data analytics (data quality control).ArcGIS platform experience.Globalmapper experience for georeferencing.Computer Drafting background.Experience in moving data in/out of a data lake (Snowflake).EEO Statement:
