Systems Administrator

will maintain, administer, and monitor hardware/software/configuration across multiple environments to ensure systems are operating at peak performance.Regulatory Compliance RequirementsMust have U.S. or Dual Citizenship (with U.S. being one of the citizenships) and be able to obtain post-hire Public Trust Security Clearance from the Department of Homeland Security.Key Areas of ResponsibilityOperate and monitor computer equipment, including servers, blades, frames.Perform routine tasks to maintain computers and peripheral equipment.Monitor server/software error messages and take appropriate actions to restore services as needed and be part of Tier 2/3 after-hours on-call support.Perform installations and patching to maintain key applications and operating systems.Effectively multitask on a variety of complicated assignments.Be part of a team of 10 plus system administrators supporting national security system for DHS.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or in lieu of a degree, 6 years of Systems/Server Administration experience as equivalency.At least 6 years of System Administration experience (e.g. Windows, Linux, VMware etc.).At least 5 years of hardware management (troubleshoot issues with physical and virtual servers; firmware updates).At least 4 years of experience in infrastructure and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, IPSec VPN).Excellent oral and written communications skills - the ability to explain technical issues/solutions in a clear, concise manner.Ability to collaborate, influence stakeholders and work effectively in a team environment.Special Position RequirementsMonday through Friday, Business Hours.
