As a Senior Dynamics Engineer, you will work with our mechanical design team to develop planetary rovers and related hardware. You will be responsible for defining and managing mechanical loads definitions related to launch and landing, as well as conducting load analyses and tests throughout the lifecycle of hardware development.

What You'll Do

Defining and managing mechanical loads (static, vibration, shock, and acoustics) for design using techniques such as:Mass acceleration curve analysis or other preliminary design methodsFinite element modeling and system loads model assemblyDesign loads analysis methods such as response-limited sine vibration or Modal Mass Acceleration CurveModel reduction and delivery for coupled loads analysesSupporting dynamics test setup and analysis for hardware development and verification, including ownership of test campaigns for dynamics model correlation. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (advanced degree preferred)5+ years of experience in spacecraft dynamics modeling and testingProficiency with Simcenter Femap and NASTRAN software for dynamics simulationProficiency with MATLAB for data analysisCapability to utilize a combination of analytical calculations, numerical simulation, testing, and engineering judgement to solve dynamics problemsOwnership of task executionAptitude for managing priorities and operating in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work in a collaborative team environment with engineers, technicians, and leadershipAbility to mentor and develop more junior mechanical engineers to build an effective design teamBenefits and Perks
