The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking an

Accounts Receivable Manager

to join our Finance and Accounting division. In this role, you will manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivables functions and duties to ensure the department completes tasks timely, accurately and efficiently. You will also optimize the contribution of the team through coaching, counseling and implementing workable solutions to business issues/problems as needed and within company policies and procedures. This role requires you to be on site at our Seattle Headquarters 3 or more days each week. Additionally, some responsibilities you will have include:

Ensure that all Accounts Receivable functions are documented, updated and followed.Serve as a subject matter expert on advance billing, collection and cash policies, methods and procedures.Provide leadership and assist in the development and implementation of new systems, special projects/initiatives, and processes.Manage and develop the AR team; ensure efficient communication, establish a genuine team spirit, and promote the company's values.Develop departmental goals supporting company financial objectives and initiatives.Evaluate existing policies and procedures making recommendations for efficiency improvement within established management guidelines.Ensure a timely month end close and assist in annual audit.Manage past due accounts, report on high-risk customer, ensure accuracy of invoicing and cash application for all customers.Create, monitor and report KPI's to leadership that support decision-making.Perform ongoing data analysis and monitoring and be the SME on key performance indicators related to accounts receivable.Ensure all customer supporting documents and files are maintained and up to date.Perform testing for system upgrades, enhancements, and changes.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

Bachelor's degree in business or an accounting emphasis or combination of education and experience equivalent required.7-10 years of AR experience with at least 5 years of manager level preferred.Proficient in Microsoft office suite - word, excel, outlook and Visio; working knowledge of SharePoint preferredStrong leadership skills with an ability to motivate direct reports required.Knowledge of state mechanics lien law procedures and sales tax laws pertaining to construction preferred.Knowledge of billing practices in construction preferred.Demonstrates strong attention to detail, organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills required.Self-motivated; deadline oriented with strong attention to detail required.Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.Proven ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment required.

The pay range for this position is $72,090 - $119,300 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
