The Network Engineer will be part of the Global Network & Security Infrastructure team. The primary focus of this position is the installation, operation, and support of Fortinet SD-WAN and Firewall technologies across 100+ global locations. The Network Engineer will work closely with ADI’s infrastructure teams to support a scalable, secure, and resilient network.
Primary Responsibilities:
Become the subject matter expert for the Fortinet platform within ADI, including overall responsibility for the wide area network leveraging SD-WAN as well as edge and internal firewalls.
Deployment of Fortinet products both on-prem and within major cloud provider networks.
Publish reference architecture and run books for the network & firewall landscape.
Mentor and train team members on Fortinet technologies.
Leverage automation for deployments and to ensure consistent configurations.
Maintain software and hardware life cycles.
Assist in monitoring and supporting network & firewall environments.
Required Qualifications:
Fortinet Certified Professional.
Minimum of 7+ years in a networking role and 3+ years experience with Fortinet SD-WAN.
5+ years of experience in Next Generation Firewalls.
Proven experience with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiMonitor.
Experience in automation for deployment of configuration and software.
Strong understanding of Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Intrusion Detection, and Anti Virus.
Solid understanding in the following technologies and protocols: BGP, OSPF, RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSec, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES.
Good interpersonal skills, ability to work with a global team and work with senior management on strategy and operational efficiencies.
Good documentation, technical writing, and presentation skills.
Experience in cloud environments is a major plus.
Experience in Juniper and Aruba (wireless) environments is a plus.
