Corporate ControllerWe are partnering with a Private Equity backed multi-site facilities services organization looking to add a Corporate Controller to the team.The Corporate Controller position is a hands-on role that is responsible for the accounting affairs of the overall organization and its affiliates. The Corporate Controller is a key member of the Company’s financial team and the process owner for all transactional and general ledger accounting and prepares interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management. The Corporate Controller is responsible for the Company's financial policies, its accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports. The position is the function leader of the accounting function and involves supervision over general accounting, internal auditing, and budgetary controls.Geography:

Candidates will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environmentPosition Responsibilities:Lead and manage all financial accounting activities for the company and its affiliates.Serve as the go-to expert for Accounting, GAAP, and other required standards. Develop, document, and uphold company accounting policies in line with GAAP.Maintain the company's system of accounts, including entity consolidation and intercompany accounting, as needed.Direct the accounting department's functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable, to optimize working capital.Keep accurate records of all company transactions and assets.Independently close the books and defend GAAP applications to the company's external audit firm.Support tax preparation for state and federal taxes, while maintaining accurate records for all legal entities within the company.Prepare internal and external reports, revising and updating them to enhance usefulness and efficiency. Develop and maintain reporting processes for external parties, such as banks and insurance companies.Advise management on the appropriate depreciation rates for capitalized items and recommend operational adjustments due to tax revisions.Ensure effective financial controls are in place by keeping financial information and strategic plans confidential.Assist in preparing the annual budget and monthly business reforecasts.Evaluate Accounting Department personnel performance, recommend necessary training, and ensure the team has the necessary skills to meet company objectives. Make hiring or termination recommendations for the department.Lead acquisition integration related to the accounting function and support due diligence activities during acquisitions.Oversee the preparation of budgets, implement planning and control procedures, and analyze/report variances.Collaborate with external auditors and tax specialists to ensure timely and cost-effective audits, while addressing all related tax matters, including payroll tax and sales/use tax. Contribute to tax strategic planning and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local taxes.Perform other duties as assigned.Accountability and Performance Measures:Strengthen internal communications across all staff levels and foster a positive, supportive work environment.Demonstrate integrity, credibility, and a strong commitment to the company’s mission. Be a proactive, hands-on strategic thinker, owning finance responsibilities in partnership with the CFO.Professional Experience/Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience in M&A due diligence and integration is preferred.Familiarity with Private Equity-owned enterprises is a plus.Technologically savvy, with experience selecting and overseeing software installations and managing vendor relationships. Advanced proficiency in accounting and reporting software is essential.Highly skilled in Excel and various accounting software packages.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience presenting key data to senior management, boards, or external partners.Capable of managing remote employees and multiple locations through communication technology.Ability to translate complex financial concepts to both finance and non-finance managers at all levels.
