Senior Engineer – Electrification Group Leader

to join its Racing Program in Santa Clarita, California.Work Style: HybridPay Grade: EX3Responsibilities:

A leader of the electrification group in HRC USA, working under the supervision of the Head of Electrical group to define the technical direction on ESS system, Inverter and MGU development, as well as any electrification topics that may arise. Manage the group responsible for component selection, cells, MGU, inverter components, software, and validation processes. Work closely with other departments in HRC in the development of electrified powertrain systems (Design, development, assembly, chassis and powertrain engineering, program management, production). Act as a technical specialist in electrified powertrains. Deploy and assist in deploying electrified systems at the track, review the health of systems used, and collaborate with the track team. Work with governing bodies like Indycar and IMSA to ensure our roadmap aligns with the series.Qualifications:

BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering with emphasis in electrification, vehicle performance, or equivalent work experience. 5 years of experience in electrification and support of high-performance powertrains, energy system design and development, and related mechanical and electronic systems. Previous technical writing and reporting experience required. Previous data analysis and database experience required. 4+ years of both theoretical and practical experience in powertrain and vehicle performance, electrified energy systems, data analysis, and problem-solving. Ability to read schematic drawings. Hands-on experience with specialized energy systems, testing, and control systems. Competent hands-on skills with a variety of hand tools. Excellent computing skills, proficient with Microsoft products. Ability to lead effectively and interface with various personality types. Data mining and tool creation skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment and under minimal supervision. Traveling may be required.

Total Rewards:
