The Area Agency on Aging, Region 9 (AAA9) is a private non-profit corporation located in Cambridge, Ohio. The Agency services a nine-county area that includes Belmont, Carroll, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Holmes, Jefferson, Muskingum, and Tuscarawas counties. The Agency works to create opportunities for Ohioans to receive needed linkage, referrals, and community services to remain successful and age in their own homes.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide visionary leadership and guidance in ensuring the optimal strategic positioning of the Area Agency on Aging, Region 9. The CEO will work with internal and external stakeholders to guide AAA9’s continued development and evolution, with an emphasis on service excellence, community presence, engagement, programmatic development, advocacy, and communication.
Reporting to AAA9’s Board of Directors, the CEO will bring diverse constituencies together to build upon the success of AAA9 and articulate and execute a strategic vision that continually assesses and takes advantage of changing market conditions.
AAA9 seeks a CEO who will bring the following:
Strategic vision with a commitment to communicate the mission, vision, identity, and community presence of AAA9.
The ability to expand trusting and effective partnerships, both internal and external to AAA9.
Exemplary business and financial skills with an appreciation for stewardship.
A demonstrated track record in ensuring a high-performance collaborative team focused on older adults and community members.
A commitment to working in partnership with diverse constituencies who share AAA9’s values.
A visible and articulate advocate for the needs of older adults in eastern Ohio.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, social work, gerontology, or related field (Master's preferred).
Ten years of administration experience; experience in the field of aging preferred.
A passion for transforming service delivery for older adults and extensive knowledge of community-based care and public health trends.
Experience in developing community-based programs; policy development; managing service program fiscal resources; and working effectively with external organizations.
Knowledge of laws, policies, and service delivery issues affecting the elderly and disabled population.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to prepare and present reports and public presentations.
Familiarity with technology solutions for healthcare management and data analytics.
Experience with state or federal agencies and knowledge of Ohio's aging services network is a plus.
Compensation
The Executive Director is expected to earn an attractive compensation package including appropriate benefits.
