Additional responsibilities include posting transactions and processing accounts payable invoices. This entry-level position is designed to develop accounting skills and knowledge necessary to advance to the Property Accountant II position.Responsibilities:

Processes bills from properties in a timely manner and according to Company policyProcesses and reviews accounts payable batches submitted from specific propertiesAnswers and handles vendor phone calls as well as any research requiredMaintains Property Paid Bill files (filing)Prepares monthly journal entries and accruals as requiredReviews A/R entries on a daily basis, solving any discrepancies as necessary in a timely mannerProcesses Security Deposit Check Requests within scheduled deadlinesProcesses write-offs and collectionsProcesses monthly loan payments and reconciles mortgage impound balances accordinglyPrepares bank reconciliationsPrepares monthly & quarterly property reports within scheduled deadlinesAnalyzes monthly & quarterly financial statements and budgetsTracks delinquency/aging and contacts Property Managers accordinglyReviews weekly property account balances to manage cash flow effectivelyForecasts cash flow and cash management in a timely mannerWorks closely with Property Managers and Regional Managers to help reconcile tenant accounts/ledgersParticipates in preparing and auditing materials requiring analyses of supporting documents and ensures that all entries are entered into the system properlyPrepares Year End 1099’s for Accounting Manager’s reviewAssists Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager with property taxes and insurance auditsAdjusts errors and discrepanciesAdditional Responsibilities:

Assists in training A/P ClerksAll other duties as assignedKnowledge, Experience, Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree, or actively working towards a degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field (Highly Preferred)Minimum of 1 to 3 years of Accounting experienceMinimum of 0 to 1 years of Property Management/Real Estate experienceAdditional Skills, Abilities, and Characteristics Required:
