As a progressive and vibrant healthcare organization, we arecommitted to being an innovative center of excellence in community hospital care.As an integral member of the Medical Imaging Team, you will be responsible for performing Computed Tomography and X-ray imaging procedures in accordance with departmental policies, protocols and standards. You will participate as a team member to ensure efficient and safe workflow.Produce CT and x-ray images of the highest diagnostic quality to meet departmental standardsProvide exemplary patient care for Emergency Department, Unit and Out PatientsPrepare written and electronic reports as required to document all procedures and test resultsOrganize and prioritize work flow.Collaborate with patient care units, physicians, external departments and other imaging modalitiesParticipate in QC and QA programs as requiredOperate, troubleshoot and ensure that medical imaging and ancillary equipment are functioning properlyContribute to teaching, training, educational research, safety and quality improvement programs/activitiesObserve and understand organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Provide input for designing imaging policies and procedures resulting in improvements in technical qualityAdhere to organizational and departmental mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentialityPerform other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care and cross functional responsibilities as assigned or requestedAttendance at meetings as requiredHalton Healthcare endeavors to hire individuals who are competent in their chosen profession and who exemplify our mission, vision and values of accountability, respect and compassion which guide our individual behaviours and attitudes.Graduate of approved training program in RadiographyCurrent registration and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)Must have the knowledge, skills and judgment as identified in the CMRTO "Essential Competencies" to perform the services and procedures that fall within the scope of practice of the professionAbility to organize work, set priorities, manage time effectively and produce accurate results while working autonomously or as a team playerExcellent problem recognition and problem solving skillsCommitted to service excellence while meeting the patient/staff needs efficientlyIn keeping with the Hospital Mission, Vision and Core values, maintains and fosters a positive role within the department and to external stakeholdersDemonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skillsAbility to handle stress and conflict management in a professional, effective mannerMust be able to meet the physical demands of the positionSatisfactory employment and attendance record requiredCT training preferredCT Imaging courses would be an assetHours: Monday – Friday 1200hrs-2000hrs (subject to change based on operational needs)Salary:
