These patients will require complex medical care, Functional Enhancement or Palliative care, all having the ultimate goal of returning to the community. Scheduled evening and/or weekend programming is required. As a Team member, the Recreational therapist will assist with establishing coordinated patient-focused goals and discharge plans. The Rec. Therapist will identify through individual assessment leisure interests and attitudes and provide programs to improve and maintain mental, physical, and socio-emotional functioning through individual or group programming. Maintain and build clinical skills through ongoing education and self-directed learning. Base Treatment/Program plans on best practice guidelines.Minimum Qualifications:

B.A. in Recreation and Leisure Studies with Specialization in Therapeutic Recreation, or equivalent.Minimum 1-3 years experience preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational abilities with proven time management skillsAbility to function independently, demonstrate sound problem-solving skills and safe work practice.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all team members.Flexible to meet changing department/service needsRehab and/or Geriatric assessment and treatment experience an asset.Satisfactory employment and attendance record.Hours:

Monday - Friday- various shifts (Hours subject to change based on operational requirements)Salary:
