Linux System Administrator , with a current TS/SCI to join our team at the National Maritime Intelligence Center in Suitland, MD. In this dynamic position, you will have the chance to work across projects and teams to provide support for the Office of Naval Intelligence's (ONI) Hopper Global Command Center's Enterprise Applications. Join us today and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to making a difference.Primary Responsibilities:Install, rebuild, configure, maintain, administer and document Unix/Linux systems, software, system related products, hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with established standards.
Create, document and implement repeatable processes to install, test, upgrade, maintain and patch system environments and software.
Troubleshoot and resolve system-related incidents detected during monitoring, by other technical teams, or reported by users.
Review Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts/Bulletins (IAVA/B) related to current operating environment and implement remediation plans.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for routine and non-routine procedures that assist in the management and operation of the Linux Enterprise operating environments.
Perform any required re-accreditation actions such as DISA STIG review, OS upgrades, vulnerability scan remediation, and document various required lists (PPSM, H/W, and S/W) during the normal accreditation cycle.
Recommend changes to the government for improvement in the operating and/or security environment.
Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related work experience or a Master's degree with 6+ years of related work experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
Current IAT Level II DoD Approved 8570-M Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+CE or equivalent) or the ability to obtain within 30 days from date of offer of acceptance.
6+ years of demonstrated experience in administering and maintaining Linux systems and applications.
6+ years technical experience of installation, configuration, and security of server environments.
Expert knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) System Administrator and Network technologies and protocols.
Experience operating in virtual environments.
Knowledge of cloud architectures and solutions.
Proven experience with applying various security standards (i.e. DISA STIGs, ACAS scans, etc.).
Proficiency in Docker container strategies, automated testing, and monitoring.
Experience with Bash, Ksh shell scripting.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
