DescriptionSt. Croix Health is seeking Ultrasound Technologists to join our team. The position will supplement full-time staff covering 8 and/or 12-hour shifts as well as weekend call. This role will be utilized in an as-needed capacity.The Ultrasound Technologist provides and oversees quality diagnostic imaging and patient care services. They are responsible for efficient and effective operation of the daily activities of the department as directed. They also assist lead technologists with execution of the daily operation of the Diagnostic Imaging department.The Imaging Department at St. Croix Health consists of approximately 40 staff and performs over 50,000 studies a year. Plans for a new campus to open in late 2025 are underway! Our need for qualified, passionate technologists is fueled by continued growth and the need to expand services. The Ultrasound Technologist interprets physician instructions, explains ultrasound procedures to patients, changes imaging parameters and selects options while operating ultrasound equipment.RequirementsEducation & Licensure:Registered by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)Abdomen (AB), Breast (BR) and vascular certification requiredObstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) certification preferredCPR Certification completed internallyExperience:2 years’ experience performing a variety of US studies (Vascular, OB, General, and Breast) desired2 years’ experience performing a variety of US procedures (Biopsy, Paracentesis, Clip placement) desiredExperience with GE a plus but not requiredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy of the head, thorax and abdomen, physiology and ultrasound technology practices and proceduresAbility to multitask, work under pressure while maintaining quality standardsAble to contribute to small group projectsWork under general directions with little supervisionAbility to understand oral and written instructions stated in medical and radiologic termsUse time efficiently maintaining department cleanliness and orderSt. Croix Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
