St. Croix Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. The position is 0.8FTE and involves working approximately 8 - 8 hour shifts per pay period. This position would be part of a call rotation.

The Ultrasound Technologist provides and oversees quality diagnostic imaging and patient care services. They are responsible for efficient and effective operation of the daily activities of the department as directed. They also assist lead technologists with the execution of the daily operation of the Diagnostic Imaging department.

The Imaging Department at St. Croix Health consists of approximately 40 staff and performs over 50,000 studies a year. Plans for a new campus to begin in 2025 are underway! Job Summary:

This position is responsible for performing a variety of sonographic studies in various settings. The Ultrasound Technologist interprets physician instructions, explains ultrasound procedures to patients, changes imaging parameters, and selects options while operating ultrasound equipment.

Requirements

Education & Licensure:

Registered by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

Abdomen (AB), Breast (BR), and vascular certification required

Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) certification preferred

CPR Certification completed internally

Experience:

2 years’ experience performing a variety of US studies (Vascular, OB, General, and Breast) desired

2 years’ experience performing a variety of US procedures (Biopsy, Paracentesis, Clip placement) desired

Experience with GE a plus but not required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy of the head, thorax and abdomen, physiology, and ultrasound technology practices and procedures

Ability to multitask and work under pressure while maintaining quality standards

Able to contribute to small group projects

Work under general directions with little supervision

Ability to understand oral and written instructions stated in medical and radiologic terms

Use time efficiently maintaining department cleanliness and order
