FFT Therapist (Couple, family and individual therapist)
An exciting position has become available for a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join a friendly team based in Washington DC.

We are seeking individuals with mental health clinical training and experience to deliver FFT. Duties include assessment, treatment, documentation, and collaboration with caregivers, families, youth, and community stakeholders. You will function as part of an FFT team and will participate in weekly team supervision and consultation. Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule based on families’ availability. Experience in family systems therapy or behaviorally based marital and substance abuse treatment therapy preferred. Master's in mental health or related field required; licensure also required. Role Requirements
The Functional Family Therapy (FFT/CBI) evidence-based model therapist will hold at least a graduate level license (LGPC or LGSW). Agency will pay for FFT and CBI trainings.
This position requires flexibility of hours to meet families when and where they are available.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Must be able to commit to seeing clients remotely and on-site.
Excellent writing and case documenting skills.
Strong clinical skills and a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently.
Ability to internalize and work within the evidence-based Functional Family Therapy philosophy and model.
Cultural sensitivity and a commitment to empowering families.
Ability to intervene decisively, when necessary, to protect family members and to set appropriate boundaries.
Role Responsibilities
Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and person-centered therapy to individuals, adolescents, youth, couples, and families with various mental health issues.
Follow the fidelity model of both the EBP model.
Participate as part of the therapy team.
Adhere to Child-Welfare safety guidelines.
Assist families by actively referring them to appropriate services and supports.
Provide individual/family/group counseling sessions and document the same.
Serve as clinical liaison to referral sources and guardians regarding client progress and needs.
Maintain a record of all services provided.
Maintain high-quality documentation of all case work, completed in a timely manner and consistent with outlined program policies and licensure requirements.
Update the treatment plan and other clinical assessments for the assigned individual.
