Tax Partner

A known CPA firm in Los Angeles is seeking a direct admit Tax Partner to join their firm. The ideal candidate will be either a current Partner, or a strong Senior Manager or Director ready to assume the Partnership role. You will have a proven track record in managing a tax practice, providing high-level tax planning and advisory services, and fostering client relationships. In this role you will oversee a book of real estate and high net worth clients.Responsibilities:Provide high-level tax advisory services to a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.Oversee complex tax planning, compliance, and consulting engagements.Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to address their tax and financial planning needs.Stay abreast of the latest tax laws and regulations to provide cutting-edge advice to clients.Ensure the firm’s tax services are compliant with all applicable laws and standards.Review and approve tax filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Contribute to the financial management of the tax department, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.Manage client billing and collections, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.Develop and execute tax practice strategies that align with the firm’s overall goals.Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Participate in firm management and strategic planning activities as a key member of the leadership team.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation required.Master’s degree in Taxation or related advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 10+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax.Proven experience at a partner or senior management level within a CPA firm.Extensive experience in tax planning, compliance, and advisory for high-net-worth individuals and businesses.
