SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2024, at 11:59 PM (PST).THE OPPORTUNITYThis position will directly supervise a small group of accounting support positions performing routine to moderately difficult duties/computations. The position responsibilities include reviewing and approving time sheets, delegating work to staff, providing guidance and coaching, reviewing financial and statistical records; assisting management with special projects, and other duties as needed.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & CORE COMPETENCIESIn addition to the minimum qualifications the ideal candidate will also possess extensive knowledge and/or experience in the following core competencies:Technical Knowledge | Technical ExperiencePerforming difficult to complex accounting dutiesOperating computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze informationChecking figures, reviewing and auditing forms, postings, and documents for correct entryProcessing documents with mathematical accuracy and proper codesUnderstanding and interpreting legal requirements including contracts, agreements, minute orders, and memorandum of understandingStrong computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Suite Programs, such as Word, Excel, and OutlookLeadership | SupervisoryLeading and team building with a strong desire to coach and mentor othersMotivating and persuading individuals and team members to achieve unit objectivesProviding employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputesSupervising the work of employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problemsPossess leadership or supervisory experience with knowledge of principles and practices of supervision including hiring, training, and evaluation of staffProblem Solving | Analytical SkillsDeveloping alternate solutions for consideration, identify areas for improvement, seek creative solutions, achieve measurable results and implement best business practicesEvaluating and using independent decision-making and judgment to address issues as they ariseResearching, organizing, and analyzing relevant data and prepare complex and detailed reports for management and other agenciesEstablishing and maintaining effective accounting and other complex records and accountsOral | Written Communication SkillsCommunicating effectively and tactfully with client agencies/departments and work collaboratively with staff to achieve unit objectivesDemonstrating strong verbal and written communications skills by writing with excellent grammar skills and articulating ideas in an organized and effective manner verbally or in written meansCommunicating technical and complex information in a clear and concise mannerListening effectively to others and shares technical knowledge with othersMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSPlease click
