Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.Tax Services Manager – Financial Services Office – Customer Tax Operations and Reporting Services (CTORS): This position could be located in NY (primary), IL, CA, MA, TX, WA, NJ, CT, VA.Our Business Tax Advisory practice gives you the opportunity to focus on US tax information reporting & withholding matters. You will work in a group environment on challenging information reporting and withholding engagements across all financial services sectors.Your key responsibilities:You will interface daily with superiors, peers and subordinates and clients on large and small CTORS projects.This could include interpreting IRS Code and Regulations, drafting guidance, data analyzation and requirements development that help clients translate and implement these rules.You may conduct a gap analysis of the current state of clients’ policies, procedures and systems and write business requirements.You will be part of a team that prepares documentation including presentations and flow charts.You will be involved in technical analysis, process improvement and respond to requests for proposals from clients.You will also get the opportunity to support the development of innovative technology solutions, as well as train and manage staff located in remote delivery centers.Skills and attributes for success:Ability to read and interpret IRS Code, regulations and instructions.Strong writing skills for policy and procedure writing is a must.Ability to interface with all facets of our business.Ability to multitask and project management capability.Creative problem solving, strong critical thinking.Ability to drive success as both an individual contributor and team member.To qualify for the role, you must have at a minimum:A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, and/or Master's in Taxation (MST) preferred.A minimum of 5 years of relevant tax consulting or tax operational experience.Be a licensed attorney, CPA, Project Management Professional, Six Sigma, Lean or equivalent certification or a certified member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation or have the ability to obtain one of these designations.What we look for:We are interested in candidates with strong organizational skills and a proven record of multitasking and working effectively across multiple projects and deadlines. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $128,200 to $235,100. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $153,900 to $267,100.EY accepts applications for this position on an on-going basis.
