The Avionics Team is responsible for cradle to grave ownership of all V-BAT avionics. This includes custom circuits, simulations, harnessing, 3rd party modules, advanced payloads, sensors, compute, RF, and telemetry. A key objective is to design and deploy hardware to enable autonomous behaviors. This is accomplished through rigorous engineering analysis, debugging, failing fast, iterate, and execute with cross-functional teams.What you'll do:

Lead and grow the Avionics Systems Engineering teamOwn system level avionics, payloads, and 3rd party devices from concept through production for V-BAT and other Shield AI aircraftLead and contribute to system level architecture design, verification, and rapid prototypingAssemble and drive highly cross-functional teams: product management, business development, electrical, mechanical, embedded, flight test, production, etc.Drive requirements, schedule, and deliverables for our aircraft product lineResolve technical challenges through analysis and verificationProactively identify opportunities to improve team and product efficiency, quality, reliability, and overall company successOther duties as assigned.Required qualifications:

You have a B.S. degree or relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another field related to embedded systems3+ years engineering experience in electrical system design, integration, testing, debug, and repairComfortable using circuit schematics and wiring diagramsStrong engineering analysis and debug fundamentalsExperience leading small cross-functional engineering teamsDemonstrated track record of assuming ownership of and delivering outstanding outcomesStrong communication skills, both written and verballyDemonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others#LI-JM2

Total package details:

Regular employee positions: Salary within range listed above + Bonus + Benefits + Equity

Temporary employee positions: Hourly within range listed above + temporary benefits package (applicable after 60 days of employment)
