Role Summary:
The Director of Nursing will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of ActualHomecare, ensuring the highest standards of care are met. This position requires an experienced nursing professional with knowledge of
Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (
JCAHO) standards
and experience in
home health
care,
caregiver hiring , and
case management . The Director of Nursing will also ensure compliance with regulatory standards. As the caregiver hiring manager, this individual will also collaborate closely with the HR team to ensure the recruitment process aligns with client care needs. Flexibility, leadership, and a strong understanding of clinical care are essential in this role. The position can start as a flexible part-time beginning from 25 hours or more.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Oversight:
Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring all care provided aligns with
JCAHO standards
and company policies.
Caregiver Hiring:
Serve as the
hiring manager
for caregivers, collaborating with HR to recruit and onboard skilled caregivers who meet the needs of our clients.
Case Management:
Lead clinical case management efforts, ensuring clients receive personalized care plans and clinical care plan review with the caregiver assigned to the case.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including JCAHO accreditation standards, and maintain high standards of care quality and safety.
Client Care:
Collaborate with the Director of Client Services to ensure appropriate caregiver coverage personalized to individual client needs.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the nurses and caregivers, promote a culture of continuous improvement and compassionate care.
Emergency Management:
Be available for emergency situations, coordinating staff and ensuring immediate care needs are met.
Quality Assurance:
Regularly review and assess care plans, clinical documentation, and caregiver performance to ensure high-quality care delivery.
Candidate Profile:
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in
home health care
and
case management ,
JCAHO compliance and accreditation experience a plus . Knowledge of Swft Ops is a plus.
Skills:
Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of caregiver recruitment and onboarding.
Certifications:
Active RN (Registered Nurse) license in NJ.
Attributes:
Highly organized, with a proactive approach to managing clinical staff, recruiting caregivers, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements:
Must be able to respond to emergency cases, have a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
Work Flexibility:
Flexible with hours and ability to work on weekends sometimes
