Position:Spring EQ is seeking an Underwriting Team Lead, Wholesale to join our growing organization in Plano, Texas.
Responsibilities:
Manage loan escalations from internal and external partners to resolve in a timely manner
Support and manage loan files through the manufacturing queue in a timely, accurate and compliant manner
Complete second review of loans that are outside of underwriter’s authority
Provide regular pipeline management reporting and feedback to the management team as required
Identify trending on loan escalations and create an action plan for continuous process improvement
Provide coaching to manufacturing team members to continually enhance the quality and efficiency of the process
Lead and motivate a manufacturing team that is focused on multiple job functions towards a common goal
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Strong foundation of mortgage lending knowledge
Knowledge of mortgage loan operations processing required
Two years of underwriting management experience preferred in a team environment
Minimum three years experience in a Home Equity or Mortgage underwriting role required.
Excellent analysis skill with attention to detail necessary
The ideal candidate will have a self-starter mentality with the ability to solve open-ended business challenges
The ideal candidate will enthusiastically contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
The ideal candidate will know how to collaborate with team members in a remote environment while also working independently with minimal supervision
