GENERAL PURPOSEThe Marigold Server Lead will assist the Marigold Customer Experience Supervisor with all aspects of dining and office operations. The expected result being a flawless and memorable experience for both internal and external clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Actively contribute to controlling product and labor expenses.

Assist in training new service crew members.

Assist with front desk procedures including phone answering, reservations, and guest check-in.

Demonstrate command of knowledge while merchandising and serving entrees, beer, and wine for receptions and dinners.

Engage guests in conversation and create a personal connection.

Greet guests by name, host, and expertly serve meals per defined service sequence to Marigold guests.

Ensure guests receive service that is prompt and technically correct, with minimal interruptions at the table.

Motivate and direct dining staff to achieve all service expectations and challenge them to find opportunities to put our guests first.

Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

Proactively address issues that could potentially impact our guests (i.e., product or equipment shortages).

Set buffets, receptions, and all special events.

Set floor plan for all meal periods using a "Guest First" approach.

Support Marigold Customer Experience Supervisor as required with daily operations and special events/assignments including shift coverage.

QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience

High school diploma; 2+ years of college preferred.

2 years fine dining service experience including a broad base knowledge of food and beverage, and the ability to merchandise effectively to guests.

Demonstrated ability to train others in a service environment.

Available to work 40 hours per week or more, in a varied schedule, determined by guest activity between first and second shift.

Superior guest interaction skills including ability to read the guest and adjust experience accordingly.

Ability to deliver Marigold service standards on a consistent basis.

Ability to lift trays, serviceware, or supplies regularly up to 50 pounds.

Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation/communication software and tools currently being used in the Herman Miller office environment.

Working knowledge of reservation software and business office equipment (fax, copier, multi-line phone, etc.).
