Compensation will vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and geographic location. The salary range may also vary if you reside in a different location than the location posted.Licensure preferred! School-Linked Services Program offers therapeutic services that are collaboratively developed, family-centered and strength-based. The program provides early intervention and therapy to children, adolescents and families who are suffering from a mental health issue. These services utilize evidence-based practices and include parent workshops, youth groups, and individual and family therapy. Employees work in collaboration with teachers and parents to support children and families in schools and their community. Services are integrated into school settings to quickly identify needs and prevent the escalation of emotional and behavioral challenges. Ages of children/youth served are 5-17 years old.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESDemonstrates mastery of the Clinician I job description.Applies advanced use of assessment information in development of the treatment plan and applies information and resources to ensure quality care.Applies advanced skill in acquisition and application of clinically related information to effectively intervene with children and families.Understands and applies multi-modal approaches and perspectives to therapeutic direction.Provides coaching and mentoring of others in the implementation of EBPs.Leads problem solving interaction and work with external customers.Maintains audit ready charts and audits charts independently.Provides observations and feedback to supervisor in order to monitor and/or modify programs or approaches.Actively participates in the identification of team opportunities for improvement or identification of deficiencies and in the development of strategies to address or bridge gaps.Leads Quality Improvement (CQI) activities and project implementation.Performs other related responsibilities, as assigned, to support specific department/business needs.JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIESDocuments Clearly And AccuratelyIndividual Family Group TherapyQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEMaster of Arts (M.A.) degree in Social Work or a closely related field (e.g., Marriage, Child and Family Counseling or Psychology).Three (3) years of supervised clinical experience with children.California licensure as LCSW, LMFT, Ph.D. required.OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTSStrong leadership and crisis management skills.If program requires, employee must pass an initial physical abilities test (PATS) and be certified in crisis intervention techniques within the first 30 days and annually.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSFour (4) to five (5) years of clinical experience with children.Experience with Wraparound plans and development of ICFPs.Training in domestic violence, physical/sexual child abuse, and suicidal trauma with the competency to maintain current knowledge related to state, county, and local law.Self-defense training to react/respond to harmful and violent physical situations.Knowledge of local county rules and regulations from the Department of Social Services or related division.HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLSExperience, knowledge, skills, and abilities with culturally diverse populations.Speak, read, and/or write another language.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe work environment conditions as described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
