The Impact You Will Have
The primary role of the Senior Analyst is to support production members of the Walker & Dunlop Affordable Investment Sales team with financial modeling of multifamily assets and producing institutional quality marketing materials.
Primary Responsibilities
Financial analysis of affordable housing opportunities using proprietary WDAIS underwriting model.
Modeling including assessing LIHTC eligibility and evaluating project financing structures.
Produce rent and sale comparable reports using market data.
Stay current on affordable housing policies and advise on their impact on project development.
Assist in the research, writing, and proofing of marketing offering memorandums and Broker Opinion of Values.
Research and maintain databases tracking Investment Sales activity and relevant metrics.
Develop and maintain market knowledge through industry trade journals and economic forecasts.
Assist in transaction coordination and due diligence for the Investment Sales team.
Maintain files to ensure all mandatory disclosures are completed.
Monitor and assess the progress of sales to meet important deadlines.
Provide preliminary audits of files for management review.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (Finance and/or Real Estate concentration preferred).
4+ years of experience in affordable housing finance, brokerage, development, or related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Three to five years of experience with LIHTC modeling required.
Experience with affordable housing funding sources required.
Understanding of property tax abatements & exemptions.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to accurately handle multiple tasks during time-sensitive situations.
Excellent financial modeling skills including thorough knowledge of Excel.
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Word.
Advanced written and oral communication skills.
Ability to show ownership of work and demonstrate patience when learning new processes.

Salary Range:
$75,000-$85,000
