The Systems Administrator role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, patching, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. The Systems Administrator will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.Essential FunctionsReceives work assignments through the “ticketing system” or from Lead Administrators or management.Performs server software installation and maintenance tasks, ranging from standard to complex.Installs and maintains infrastructure management tools.Monitors and analyzes system logs, alerts, and reports to identify and resolve issues.Provides advanced problem identification and resolution support services as well as performance monitoring and capacity planning support.Plays a principal role in the development and implementation of departmental workflow automation processes and procedures.Ensures the security, availability, performance, and scalability of our enterprise directory and collaboration infrastructure.Acts as a point of contact for internal and external customers, providing technical guidance and support for collaboration and directory services offerings.Key contributor with technical evaluations and “proof of concept” programs related to evaluating and implementing new technologies and tools.Provides on-call support during off-duty hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays on a scheduled/rotating basis.Performs duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs.Knowledge and Skills/Technology UsedCollaboration/Microsoft 365 and Windows Directory Services EngineerDesign, install, configure, and troubleshoot Active Directory, ADFS, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, Power Automate, and other related technologies.Administer Active Directory DNS and BlueCat Enterprise DNS to ensure the reliability and security of our domain name system.Support and administer Proofpoint email gateway and security platforms.Knowledge of email delivery principles and authentication, including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, etc.General knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud virtualization platforms.Basic organization skills to balance and prioritize assigned work.Good verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work as a member of a multi-cultural, multi-location team.Typical EducationGenerally requires BS Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Typical Range of ExperienceEmployees entering this job typically have 5+ years of hands-on technical experience supporting Microsoft Directory Services.License or CertificationDesired Certifications:Microsoft Windows operating systemStorage Area NetworkingInfrastructure Management ToolsVMware, Citrix, or Hyper-V virtualization technologiesPay Range: $86,700 - $144,500This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
