Inpatient Rounding Surgical Services - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are looking for a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to function exclusively as an inpatient provider with our established Integrated Surgery department at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, Maryland. The APP will solely provide inpatient support for multi-specialty surgery providers. Nurse Practitioners who apply should be 'acute' trained as we cannot consider FNPs for this role at this time.The schedule for this role will be (5) 8-hr days depending on the hospital's need, plus some call. Enjoy working with our multi-specialty surgical teams, e.g., General Surgery, Colorectal, Orthopedics, etc. This position excludes weekend and after-hour responsibilities. Our ideal candidate will have at least one year of post-graduate experience in a surgical practice or acute care role.Located just 16 miles southeast of Washington, D.C., MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center is a 250-bed, full-service acute care and 24-bed, sub-acute care facility.
