We are currently searching for an experienced Director of Nursing to join our team.
Primary Function:
Provides strategic leadership for inpatient unit and outpatient clinic. Manages Nursing to ensure appropriate care for assigned patients.

The Director of Nursing is a vital member of the Nursing component of the System of Care. The Director of Nursing is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of clients as they go through the detox/residential process. The Director of Nursing is responsible for all Nursing related services for each client. They are also involved in ongoing monitoring and evaluation to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of client care. In addition, they are involved with the development and evaluation of nursing unit personnel, and maintains the optional medical aspects of the client care unit.

Responsibilities
Direct, oversee and evaluate all nursing personnel (registered nurses, LPN etc.)
Guide staffing procedures - recruitment, interview, offer, hire and discipline.
Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
Organize and coordinate admission, nursing and patient care procedures
Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high quality standards
Control budgets and monitor expenditures
Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed
Manage record-keeping procedure
Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operation
Report to upper management
Attend executive member meetings and conduct and implement departmental meetings
Perform a full range of nursing services including assessing, planning, administering and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans.
Conduct and document a thorough assessment of each patient's medical status upon admission and throughout the patient's course of treatment.
Administer medical treatment as prescribed by the physician.
Attend and participate in clinical team conferences regarding patient progress, problems and needs.
Oversee medication reconciliation along with reviewing and signing off on medication incident reports.
Conduct Utilization Review as needed.
Document and report patient progress to the treatment team.
Act in compliance with Red Rock Recovery Centers regulatory, accreditation and professional standards and guidelines.
Oversee RRRC Infection Control and other assigned Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs, complete with required documentation.
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to perform Nursing and behavioral assessments using appropriate framework.
Demonstrated skill in the delivery of patient care as a member of a multi-disciplinary therapeutic team.
Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis.
Ability to develop, implement and evaluate patient care plans actively involving patients, family and the therapeutic team.
Skill in setting priorities, organizing workload to effectively administer direct patient care.
Ability to work effectively with stress and in crisis situations.
Perform peer reviews for Red Rock Recovery clients.
Assist and participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
Assist patients with meals as needed.
In collaboration with the Clinical Director, oversee the psychoeducational nursing group curriculum and ensure groups are facilitated by appropriate nursing staff.
Work with staff on discharging patients when goals are met.
Initiate care plans and goal setting to adhere to treatment planning standards.
Carry out all written and verbal orders per physician.
Assist and coordinate with physician potential patient admissions through intake assessment.
Coordinate the admission of patients with completion of required documentation.
Review pre-assessments for prospective patients with medical complications on an as-needed basis and approve or deny admission based on RRRC admission criteria.
Ensure administration of patient medications as ordered by the medical provider.
Coordinate with the Executive Director with supply ordering and inventory control.
Assist Executive Director, or spearhead improvement of program policies and procedures.
Assist Executive Director in identifying areas for professional development for team members.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises RNs
Recruit, hire, and onboard RN staff
Manage and implement nursing schedule to ensure 24 hour RN coverage at facility
Participate in on-call rotation
Pay:
$100,000- $120,000.00
Schedule:
FT plus on-call
