Software Engineer Level 2

What you will be doingThe Software Engineer shall be responsible for supporting the CASA Compute Environment (CCE) SaaS team and mission services. The CCE provides several containerized services that customers can provision and access on demand inside of a Kubernetes cluster. Some of the services include Gitlab CI/CD, Jupyter Notebooks, MinIO, and several other products. The Software Engineer shall perform maintenance and troubleshooting of containerized applications, upgrade services, assist customers using the CCE and develop any required software for new CCE functionality and services. In addition, the Software Engineer shall provide customer support to CCE customers across several Hustle channels and via help desk tickets.What you will needExperience using the Linux CLIExperience with Bash/Python scriptingExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker or containerdExperience creating containerized applications/servicesExperience creating Helm Charts for KubernetesExperience deploying containerized services in a Kubernetes environmentExperience providing customer outreach and troubleshooting supportExperience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CIExperience with Git Source Control SystemDesired SkillsExperience developing with REST APIsExperience with the Atlassian Tool suite (Bitbucket, Confluence, Jira)Experience transitioning applications and services to AWSClearanceActive TS/SCI with an appropriate polygraph is required to be considered for this role.Who are we?Praxis Engineering was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Annapolis Junction MD - with growing offices in Chantilly VA and Aberdeen MD.
