What you will be doing:The Software Integration Engineer shall be responsible for researching, analyzing, designing, developing, configuring, and recommending COTS/GOTS/FOSS products, packages, and libraries in a heterogeneous operating system environment including High Performance Computing (HPC) systems.What you will need:Experience using the Linux CLIExperience with scripting languages such as Python/Bash to automate tasks, manage configurations, and facilitate software integration processesGeneral HPC architecture knowledge of HPC Ecosystem including compute, network, memory, and storage componentsProficiency in Linux system administration and configuration managementExperience with build and compile procedures for various software and firmware componentsExperience with COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, packages, and libraries to determine the best strategy for fulfilling new development and integration requirementsExperience with zero-touch provisioning and IaC (Infrastructure as Code) concepts, principles, and automationExperience creating documentation detailing software stacks, relevant integration activities, and software configurationsExperience troubleshooting, tracking, documenting, and resolving complex software build and software integration issuesAbility to develop, debug, and test applications based upon design and performance requirementsExperience with containerization technologies such as DockerPosition Desired Skills:Working knowledge of configuration management tools and processesExperience troubleshooting, tracking, documenting, and resolving complex software build and integration issuesExperience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools (Jira, Confluence)Clearance:Active TS/SCI with an appropriate polygraph is required to be considered for this role.Who are we?Praxis Engineering was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Annapolis Junction MD - with growing offices in Chantilly VA and Aberdeen MD.
