Lead Respiratory Care Practitioner - PAMC Respiratory Therapy

Description
Maintains competence at the expert level in clinical practice for all age groups. Responsible for department based education program planning, development and implementation. This includes, but is not limited to: validating required educational needs and competencies for respiratory staff; developing department training programs and processes for respiratory students; development and oversight of department preceptor program, maintaining staff education records and keeping manager informed of currency of staff regarding mandatory education requirements and collects quality data for department quality initiatives. Flexibility in scheduling is required for meeting the educational needs of staff on all shifts.
Hours: Full-time, 1.0 FTE, Night Shift, 40 Hours Per Week
$10,000.00 Sign-On Bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
Relocation Assistance available for eligible hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
Required qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Respiratory TherapyUpon hire: National Registered Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care OrUpon hire: National Certified Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory CareUpon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart AssociationWithin 90 days of hire National Provider ACLS - American Heart AssociationWithin 90 days of hire National Provider PALS - American Heart Association5 years experience as a respiratory therapist in the acute care clinical settingExperience within all areas of the hospital to include NICU, PICU and ACCPrevious experience as an educator; teaching, mentoring or as a clinical preceptor

Bachelor's Degree
