And we’ll do it with the utmost integrity, and in an environment where everyone is seen, heard and feels like they belong.Join Team Amex and let's lead the way together.The objective of the Finance Control Management Risk Advisory team is to provide specialized and strategic risk advisory specific to Finance areas.Finance is looking for a Director of Risk Advisory to lead a diverse team of high-performing professionals focused on ensuring control management is embedded in the day-to-day operations of our organization. It will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies.Responsibilities:

Provide risk advisory specific to Finance large-scale initiativesLead strategic projects to uplift the Finance control environmentCompile best practices and learnings from historical initiatives, and leverage to support risk identificationEnsure appropriate assessment and controls related to data risk across the data lifecycleCoordinate with Finance process owners to embed ORM considerations into financial processesCollaborate across FLT teams for input on areas of riskRequired Qualifications:

6 Years experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function) and understands critical operational risk management lifecycle activitiesExperience with assessing and mitigating data risk across the data lifecycleExcellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact and obtain buy-in from senior Finance counterpartsExperience within financial services industryStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectivelyDemonstrated history and ability to manage large teams, spread over geographies and with varying backgroundsPreferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageousExperience in at least one of the following:Assessing the needs of Finance process owners to ensure sufficient understanding of Operational Risk Management and controlsCompiling and sharing best practices and learnings from historical product launches and change management initiativesCoordinating with process owners to embed operational risk considerations into their processesFacilitating operational risk awareness and education within product and service teams to enhance their ability to manage risks effectivelyExperience with model risk governance a plusSalary and Benefits:

Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
