And we’ll do it with the utmost integrity, and in an environment where everyone is seen, heard, and feels like they belong.Join Team Amex and let's lead the way together.The objective of the Finance Control Management Process Risk Reduction team is to directly engage in the continual improvement of business processes to mitigate operational risks and steps in when noteworthy issues or events occur, and subsequently deploy resources to remediate at scale.Finance is looking for a Director of Process Risk Reduction to lead a diverse team of high-performing professionals focused on ensuring control management is embedded in the day-to-day operations of our organization. It will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies.Responsibilities:

Develop and lead the implementation of a comprehensive process risk reduction strategy for Finance.Align risk reduction initiatives with the organization's overall risk management framework and business objectives.Provide strategic direction to senior management on process risk issues and mitigation strategies.Proactively identify and prioritize areas within Finance processes that require risk reduction measures.Execute on process risk reduction, leveraging enterprise support as needed.Conduct independent root cause analyses focused on identifying underlying process vulnerabilities.Support Finance with design of controls and processes.Document control design effectiveness and address thematic control gaps.Provide independent support for resolution of high-risk issues.Monitor and track the implementation of process changes.Document learnings from improving controls.Foster a culture of risk awareness and ongoing improvement.Be a key leader for sharing insights and best practices across the enterprise.Required Qualifications:

6 years experience in operational risk management.Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.Expertise in process governance.Experience within financial services industry.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to manage large teams across geographies.Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field.Experience in identifying and prioritizing areas that require risk reduction measures.Conducting root cause analyses focused on identifying process vulnerabilities.Providing support for resolution of high-risk issues.Monitoring and tracking the implementation of process changes.Salary Range:
