We are seeking an experienced revenue manager to oversee the revenue accounting processes. This role requires a deep understanding of the oil and gas industry and E&P revenue accounting, as well as managing a team, implementing best practices in revenue accounting processes, and collaborating closely with operations, land, and marketing teams.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Manage and ensure accurate and timely recording of oil and gas revenue in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Oversee the monthly revenue close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.Monitor and review contract for compliance with revenue recognition standards.Coordinate with production accounting team to ensure accurate allocation of production volumes.Lead external audit requests and ensure documentation is accurate and readily available.Identify and implement improvements in revenue accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Collaborate with IT and technical accounting teams to optimize accounting system.Manage, mentor, and develop a team of revenue accountants, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high performance and career development of individuals.Oversee the delegation of tasks and projects within the team to ensure deadlines and objectives are met.Foster a collaborative environment across cross-functional teams, including land, marketing, and operations.Work closely with the land team to understand lease terms, division orders, and other agreements that impact revenue distribution and accounting.Liaise with operations and marketing teams to verify sales volumes, product pricing, terms, fees, and revenue streams.Serve as key point of contact for partner relations, external auditor, and JV audit team for revenue related questions and requests.Other Job Responsibilities

Ten (10) years minimum experience in Upstream Oil and Gas Accounting (and/or related fields) including technical accounting, business analysis or relative accounting functions.In-depth understanding of revenue recognition principles, particularly within the E&P industry.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a focus on finance or accounting.Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
