The Capital accounting manager leads a team of accountants responsible for tracking AFE costs in compliance with Apache’s capitalization policy.Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for review, setup, and tracking of AFEs in accordance with company policy.Lead monthly accrual meetings with asset team general managers and functional leads for domestic and exploratory asset teams.Responsible for quarterly review of proved non-depleting asset balances with accounting and planning management.Responsible for the quarterly review of unproved asset balances with accounting and land management.Responsible for ensuring compliance with PSC and JOA requirements related to the company’s exploration assets in Suriname and Uruguay. This includes the preparation of monthly expenditure statements and coordination of statutory and partner audits.Preparation of Suspended Well Cost Disclosure and review of capital accounting information in the company’s 10-Qs and 10-Ks.Develop and train team members on various functions within Capital Accounting.Skills:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting.10+ years of professional financial accounting experience in the oil and gas industry.Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, and Outlook.Knowledge and experience in SAP preferred.Core Competencies:
