Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content LinkSelect how often (in days) to receive an alert:Apache Reserves Group is seeking an experienced and energetic reservoir engineering technician to join our team.This role will be primarily responsible for the following:Build and maintain complex SQL queries and/or databases to support departmental workflowsConduct daily research to maintain the reserves system up to date facilitating both reserves assessments and economic evaluationsAccess and import data from Avocet, WellView, and Enerdeq, etc. to support the reserves system (Mosaic)Coordinate all information from internal and external databases sources for review and use by the Reserves TeamProvide quality control and assurance for reserves system data attributes and economic dataIdentify and implement process improvements related to existing and evolving workflowsDesign reports and graphics to facilitate data analysis using Excel, PowerPoint, and Spotfire, etc.Provide user support for technical software applicationsCoordinate with other departments as necessary to acquire information, report data or activitiesFulfill ad hoc data requests from other departments as neededQualifications & Experience
Education, experience and/or special qualifications required:BS degree form accredited college or university5+ years of Reservoir Engineering Technician or comparable experience with an E&P companyUnderstanding of upstream and downstream oil and gas industry and terminologyExperience using database and engineering software, including Mosaic, ARIES, Avocet, S&P Enerdeq (IHS Markit), Enverus (DrillingInfo), WellView, OFM, Sahara, Harmony, Spotfire, SQL Server, Access, Excel, and EnersightDemonstrated ability to understand and utilize computer systems and applications as tools for analysisDesire to learn new technology and systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively explain project workflows or analyses to the Reserves TeamDetail oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and consistently meet project deadlinesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with multi-disciplinary teamThe successful candidate should demonstrate and exhibit the following core competencies:Communication: Writes, speaks, and presents information effectively and persuasively across communication setting;Results: Pursues work with energy, drive, and results orientation to positively impact Apache's business success;Collaboration: Works in partnership with others and encourages different perspectives, while building and maintaining trust; andCulture: Willingness and ability to align one's behavior with the needs, priorities, and goals of Apache.Company Overview
