Specific Responsibilities

The Logistics & Materials Management (L&MM) Analyst will be a member of Apache's Global Supply Chain team at the company's Midland, Texas office reporting to the Manager, Logistics & Materials Management. The position is responsible for broad supply chain analysis and materials management actions. The L&MM Analyst will serve as the focal point for material management administrative duties and will collaborate with internal stakeholders to further develop and improve the material management ecosystem through continuous improvement initiatives and projects. The L&MM Analyst position is data driven role and requires adept data analysis skills.

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:Under broad direction, responsible for the coordination, tracking, and management of all Apache inventory ensuring inventory is material mastered and cataloged accurately within SAPProduce and conduct analysis of materials management KPIs (GRs, GIs, cycle counts, AFDAs, BOSs, etc.)Ensures that KPIs and business controls are operating effectively through reporting and indirect leadershipAnalysis and reporting of inventory costs & AFE spend across all business unitsManage the sale/disposal of Apache surplus capital equipment and inventory in line with the Apache disposal policyCoordinate the setup and monitoring of material master data settings and area KPIsAssist with Inventory Forecasting, Reconciliations, and Inventory outlook reportingReview of well reconciliations with Cost Controller(s) to ensure accurate stock control and accounting practiceWorking closely with internal stakeholders supporting any inventory related issues, new purchases, disposals, and reporting requirements including attendance at departmental meetings as requiredSupport the organization's cycle counts, including third party locations and reconciling stock discrepanciesAction any MRP requirements, including communication with field stakeholders and business unit leadersRecommends and develops continuous improvement initiatives related to materials managementQualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

Associate's degree requiredUndergraduate (bachelor's) degree in business administration, materials management, industrial distribution, engineering, or similar discipline preferred3+ years of related inventory and material analyst experienceProduction planning, supply planning, procurement, or other related experience preferredExperience working within a materials control/warehouse environment is a plusExperience supporting and participating in SOX and internal assessmentsKnowledge of the financial impact of inventory, warehouse inventory and cycle counting analysis, warehouse/yard organization, and counting frequency is requiredStrong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and influence a team effectivelyGood organizational skills and ability to work independently within set deadlinesExperience utilizing an ERP & warehousing system is required, SAP knowledge is preferredAdvanced critical-thinking and problem-solving skillsThe ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are requiredTeam player and effective communicatorAbility to speak and write English is requiredCompetencies
