Purpose and Job SummaryORIX USA is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join the ORIX USA Tax team. This position will provide support for the corporate tax department, specifically related to federal and state tax compliance projects and tax planning/special projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform tax compliance projects related to federal/state tax return preparation for both corporations and partnerships.

Participate in state estimate, extension, and tax provision processes.

Management and preparation of responses to IRS and state exam information requests and other correspondence.

Participate in various tax special projects (including, but not limited to transfer pricing, tax credits, mergers and acquisitions, international tax issues).

Work professionally and harmoniously with team and coworkers.

Other projects and duties as assigned.

ContactsThis position has frequent contact with all levels of employees and management. In addition, this role may interact with outside business partners, vendors, consultants, and other office visitors.

Education, Skills & ExperienceRequired

Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited four-year university.

2 – 3 years of experience with a Big Four public Accounting firm.

Experience in preparation of federal income tax returns.

Experience handling complex and diverse tax issues.

High proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Superior academic record with demonstrated quantitative, analytical, and mathematical skills.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team; flexibility and ability to work under pressure.

Ability to adjust priorities in a rapidly changing environment.

Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and to meet critical and established deadlines.

Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

Preferred

Graduate degree.

Experience in preparation of state tax returns.
