We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Vice President of Accounting

POSITION SUMMARY:
Oversee accounting for all hotels, including accounts payable and payroll. Assist President in preparation of reports for owners to analyze performance of hotels and feasibility of new hotels.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensure timely preparation of month end financials
Review monthly financials for accuracy
Work with RDOs on red zone hotel strategies
Oversee and approve payment of all accounts payable
Oversee payroll and ensure controls are in place
Oversee Sales/Use tax returns and any audits
Oversee budget preparation
Oversee year end process
Work with Corporate Director of Finance on oversight of insurance requirements for entire portfolio
Oversee Direct Bill and accounts receivable
Assist President with financial reporting for owners and banks
Prepare financial analysis to determine feasibility of new projects
Prepare long range forecasts for all hotels
Assist in coordination of owner and manager meetings
Special projects for the President and owners
Supervise Accounting team

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including video conferencing
Strong Excel skills including competency with IRR and NPV functions
Proficiency in other business software tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality/finance
Proficiency with M-3 or other hotel specific software preferred but not required
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record – satisfactory criminal background screening required – professional references.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position manages staff members.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, regular business hours.
