A small but mighty design firm in the beautiful Florida Keys is seeking a recently licensed (or on path to licensure) designer with a professional degree in architecture from an accredited program and with, ideally, 3-5 years of related working experience. Successful candidates will be involved/included in every project stage from initial client consultation through project closeout on a wide variety of projects including municipal, commercial, retail, single, and multi-family housing. The candidate will communicate with the client, various municipalities, consultants, and firm leadership/ownership daily. The ideal candidate will be able to independently apply advanced architectural design concepts and carry out various assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures. The ideal candidate is also equally committed to the technical aspects of the profession as to the creative aspects in line with the firm’s core values, will thrive on the unique challenges presented in the Keys, is eager to learn and quick to apply new knowledge, and is dedicated to quality in the delivery of each task at every phase of a project.Qualifications:BS or MA in Architecture from an accredited university.Ability to lead the design and drawing process.Developed skill sets in design and construction documentation.Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD/REVIT, and Adobe Creative Suite.Ability to coordinate with team members, sub-consultants, vendors, and stakeholders.Ability to review own work and work of others.Demonstrates teamwork and the importance of the project.Experience in both commercial and residential architecture a plus.How Will Your Days Be Spent?Primary focus will be on production of Construction Documents and coordination of internal and external team members as well as clients.Focus on planning and execution of projects from initiation through completion (internal/external project management).Assist/support design phase efforts and coordinate/create/support presentation drawings and product selection.Responsible for the organization of design and team members to complete design and construction documents on schedule and within budget.Conduct peer reviews of project documents at various phases of completion for constructability, efficiency, functionality, and cost.Participate in client presentations and/or meetings.Participate in business development opportunities outside of the office.About the Firm:Little Red Rooster (LRR) was established in 2018 with a mission to provide creative design solutions with an emphasis on technical proficiency to the Florida Keys public, private, and commercial communities.
