Other duties may be assigned.Develop software applications to control automated material handling equipment for use within manufacturing, warehousing and distribution industries.Perform in-house testing with software and hardware emulators.Create operator and administrator training manuals and materials.Install systems at customers' site and perform on-site integration with automated equipment.Train operators.Provide ongoing support including after-hours support on a rotational basis.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Minimum of two (2) years in application development (or equivalent experience) in the Windows Operating System environment and Visual Basic, C/C++ and/or JAVA programming languages.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and technical procedures or operation manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Outstanding oral and written communication skills (English language).MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.REASONING ABILITYExcellent judgment, troubleshooting and analytical capabilities. Ability to use standard statistical analysis methodologies. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIESOracle or SQL Server Database.Experience with Automated Material Handling Systems is preferred.Willingness to travel.TRAVELThis position requires 25-40% travel including domestic and international.
