Must be willing to travel to other NorthShore sitesDescription:The ASU/PACU Registered Nurse is accountable for providing high-quality, individualized, goal-directed care for patients of all age levels and their families throughout the Perioperative continuum of care: Pre-op, PACU phase I, and PACU phase II.License/Certification:Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse LicensureAmerican Heart Association (AHA) CPR certificationAHA ACLS preferred (must obtain within 6 months of hire)AHA PALS preferred (must obtain within 6 months of hire)CPAN/CAPA certification preferredEducation/Qualifications:Graduate from an accredited school of nursingBSN preferredAt least one year of experience as a staff nurseASC, Pre-op, PACU, ICU, Telemetry, Acute Care inpatient surgical nursing preferredDemonstrates mastery of nursing skillsCommunicates effectively and is able to guide non-nursing personnelWhat you will do:Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experienceManage day to day clinical operations and unit workflow/throughputAssume direct patient care if necessaryBe accountable for the outcomes of care for patients in a specific clinical care area(s)Guide and direct a team of care-givers in providing high quality, individualized care to the patient and family, while preparing them for dischargeGuide staff development by teaching, mentoring and counseling with new and experienced staff, for both clinical and customer loyalty skillsEndeavor Health is committed to providing access to quality, vibrant, community-connected care, serving an area of more than 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties.
